Yes, it's THAT hot...

We've all heard the "feels like a hair dryer" slurr, so I'll spare you.

Let's just say, you know it's hot when:

1. your jewelry burns your skin on the walk from your hootch to the office
2. the neighborhood cat can't wait for you to water the garden so she can lay with her belly on the cool sand
3. speaking of a garden, it looks like someone took a zippo lighter to your cosmos
4. you can drink a gallon of water with breakfast without the "urge to go"
and my favorite
5. you know it's hot when you have to turn your hot water heater into a water cooler (Chris and I finally reverted to flipping the switch after the water tank storing all water to the house, convenientely located in a black plastic container on our roof, in 120 degrees, had us devoid of any water remotely cool - instead, our water heater inside the bathroom, in the off-position, now serves as a water cooler:)

Fortunately we seem to be on a cooling trend. Instead of last week's 119F/49C scorchers, we'll be enjoying 114F/46C days for most of the rest of the week.
