Our parents find the irony to be a bit much, but we arrived back in the IZ safe after a pretty harrowing travel schedule that included a 6am departure out of the coastal town of Essaouira for the 5 hour drive to Casablanca, flight to Istanbul, 4 hours on the airport, flight to Amman, 3am arrival, shower and 1:45min nap, another 6am departure for the GA airport for our AirServ flight back into Baghdad, and then a 4 hour wait at the Landing Zone for a helicopter with room for us. I haven't downloaded my photos yet, will do so this weekend and post some of them here, and probably host the rest on an online photo service and let you know - there are simply too many great ones to choose from. Morocco is seriously the most photogenic place I have ever seen.
In other news, Chris got to see POTUS at the palace that houses the embassy during his surprise visit to Baghdad, after he was "locked down" following a meeting there.
